Place a Booking

Customer can place bookings with us through the following e-service channels:

1.     Online booking via My OOCL Centre (http://www.oocl.com/)

OOCL lets customers submit booking requests online from My OOCL Center. Customers save time and improve data accuracy with Booking Request. 
You can submit your booking requests, immediately you receive the booking numbers, and query all booking submissions online. You can create and share booking templates to submit bookings more efficiently.  

You need to register before making the first booking.  Please register at https://moc.oocl.com/admin/registration/reg_registration_submit_main.jsf

2.     EDI Booking

We can handle both the EDIFACT as well as X.12 formats.  Please refer to http://www.oocl.com/eng/ourservices/eservices/edi/ for implementation guide, more information about messages, formats and protocols, and other information to help you get started

All booking requests received via one of these 2 e-service channels will be handled with priority.

3.     E-mail Booking

As alternative, customer can also send an e-mail with your booking request details to: ibkgrtm@oocl.com

For Dangerous Goods, Shipper Owned containers and Change of Destination, additional forms are required.  Please fill in the appropriate forms and upload to us via the Shipment Folder in My OOCL Center. 

Shipment Folder

It is an electronic way of storing shipment-related documents in a centralized location. Users could submit their documents to OOCL through the Shipment Folder.  At the same time, OOCL-provided documents (i.e. Bill of Lading, Invoice, Arrival Notice) could also be found in the Shipment Folder.

Export Documentation

Shipping Instruction (SI).  Please submit SI to us before the SI Cutoff as per below schedule :


Cargo destined to:

SI Cutoff:

Destinations where Advanced manifesting is required.

Please refer to Booking Acknowledgement for the latest SI Cutoff time.

All other destinations.

Please contact local customer service.


Customer can submit SI to us through the following channels:

1. SI via My OOCL Centre (http://www.oocl.com/)

You can submit shipping instructions to OOCL online through My OOCL Center.  You can use templates or copy details from current bills of lading details to prepare your shipping instructions quickly. The information is submitted directly into OOCL’s system, instead of being re-keyed, which helps improve document accuracy and reduce your document turnaround time. My OOCL Center Shipping Instructions also helps you ensure timely manifest submission in compliance with Customs’ requirements.

2. SI via EDI

We can handle both the EDIFACT as well as X.12 formats.  Please refer to http://www.oocl.com/eng/ourservices/eservices/edi/  for implementation guides, more information about messages, formats and protocols, and other information to help you get started

SI received via one of these 2 e-channels will result in lower DOC fee charges.

3.  SI via E-mail

As alternative, SI’s can also be send via e-mail to : obnrdoc@oocl.com

A Draft B/L for your approval will be provided by OOCL before issuing final Orginal Bills of Lading or Sea Waybill

Issuance of Original Bills of Lading (OBs/L) or Sea Waybill (Express Bill)

For complete SI received before the vessel sailed, the OB/L will be ready for collection within 24 hours after vessel sailed.

For complete SI received after vessel sailed, the OB/L will be ready for collection within 24 hours after receipt of the complete SI.

You can download OBs/L or Sea Waybill through My OOCL Center’s BL Document Manger. BL Document Manager lets you manage your B/L process with OOCL online.  OOCL can upload draft B/L in order for you to quickly view the content, request changes, and accept your draft documents, reducing phone and fax costs. You can then print your original B/L, sea waybills, or copy B/L conveniently from your own office, eliminating unnecessary courier costs.
