VGM Checklist
Shippers may refer to the following checklist when preparing the information for their VGM declaration:
- Select the appropriate weighing method for your particular cargo that meets VGM requirements and identify the authorized party whose signature will be required in the VGM declaration.
- Observe or adjust your supply chain flow and deadlines to meet the necessary VGM requirements, which could be dependent on the rules stipulated by the terminals, e.g. "No VGM, No Gate-In" or "No VGM, No Loading". Please refer to the VGM CUTOFF time shown on the form of a Booking Confirmation to avoid any delay on the VGM declaration.
- Choose the appropriate and convenient channels that best suits your needs in the VGM declaration.
- Acquire and familiarize yourself with any specific or additional VGM requirements from local authorities, if any.
