Export / Import Demurrage
1. Definition of Key Terms
Demurrage charges are applied for storage of laden containers whilst in OOCL's care in a port, inland
depot or container yard. Demurrage is applied after a designated free time.
Reefer Monitoring Charge (RMC) will apply to live refrigerated cargo.

Outbound Demurrage: Calculation shall commence on the same day of container full gate-in and end on the same day of cargo cut-off.(出口延滯計算基準由重櫃進站當日開始起算至結關當日。)

Inbound Demurrage: Calculation shall commence on the same day of last full gate-in and end on the same day of container full gate-out.(進口延滯計算基準由最後一只貨櫃進站當日開始起算至重櫃出站當日。) 例外：冷凍貨進口延滯計算基準由最後一只貨櫃進站次日開始起算至重櫃出站當日。

Inbound Detention:
Calculation shall commence on the first calendar day after container full
gate-out
and end on the same day of container empty gate-in. (進口滯留計算基準由重櫃提領出站次日起算至空櫃交還當日。)
Corresponding Tier Detention and Demurrage Calculation
Effective 19th Nov 2018, the Corresponding Tier Detention & Demurrage (D&D) Calculation is a specific methodology to calculate D&D charge after expiry of D&D free time. Unless otherwise specified in a service contract and/or rate filing, demurrage and/or detention charges upon free time expiry shall be assessed per Carrier's applicable tariff charge tier based on the actual day exceeding the tariff free time. Example: Upon expiry of contract free time of 10 calendar days, the applicable charge will start from the corresponding 11th day of the applicable tariff charges.
