Export Process

Place a Booking 

 

Customer can place bookings with us through the following channels: 

1.            Online booking via My OOCL Center for online booking .

               Please register My OOCL Centre before making the first booking. See detail for more information.

               For further information, please refer to the user guide in here

               Booking Acknowledgement will be sent within 2 Hours.

 

2.            Online booking via  FreightSmart. OOCL - FreightSmart is an eCommerce platform providing instant quotation 

               as well as booking with space and equipment protection from OOCL. Customers able to quote, 

               order and  book with OOCL anywhere, anytime online.

Export Documentation 

Shipping Instruction (SI) - Please submit SI to us on/ before the SI Cutoff Schedule 

Customer can submit SI to us through the following channels: 

1.       SI via My OOCL Centre (http://www.oocl.com/) or CargoSmart (http://www.cargosmart.com/).   

2.       SI via EDI    

We can handle both the EDIFACT as well as X.12 formats.  Please refer to Standard EDI Messages for implementation guides, more information about messages, formats and protocols, and other information to help you get started.   
Draft B/L will be available within 12 working hours upon receipt of complete SI 

3.       eSI (Excel Unified Template)  

Customer can submit eSI to a mailbox under OOCL Unified SI template (attachment for reference) to speed up SI processing time. Please send email to [email protected] to setup simple eSI solution mailbox. 

4.       SI via eMail form 

Please fill in the SI Template form and email the form to [email protected]
Draft B/L will be available within 1 working day upon complete S.I. is submitted. 

Shipment Folder and Bill of Lading Document Manager in My OOCL Center let you manage your B/L process with OOCL online.  OOCL can upload draft B/L in order for you to quickly view the content, request changes, and accept your draft documents, reducing phone and fax costs.  

5.       Draft B/L Revision  

Please send requirement of amendment to our team by separate from Service Trade and Container Type as following:- 

      -   All shipments to Intra Asia:  [email protected]
      -   All shipments to Europe and Australia: [email protected]
      -   All shipments to America and Canada: [email protected]
      -   All shipments of Reefer Container: [email protected]

6.       Issuance of Original Bill of Ladings (OB/Ls) or Sea Waybill (Express Bill) 

For complete SI received before the vessel sailed, the OB/L will be ready for collection within 24 hours after vessel sailed. 
For complete SI received after vessel sailed, the OB/L will be ready for collection within 24 hours after submission of the complete SI. 

You may obtain OB/Ls or Sea Waybill by:

·         On-Line Print through My OOCL Center. See details in BL Document Manager  

Bill of Lading Document Manager in My OOCL Center let you manage your B/L process with OOCL online. You can then print your original B/L, sea waybills, or copy B/L conveniently from your own office, eliminating unnecessary courier costs.   

·         Express Channel for Credit customers and Non-credit customers (who are using money transfer / TT via Siam Commercial Bank)  

Through the Express Channel, please send details of Bill of Lading which need to pick up to [email protected] at 1 day in advance.
