OOCL* opened its first Turkish office in
Istanbul on 1st January 2012.
Due to growth and to further support our
customers, OOCL opened offices in Izmir and Mersin on 1st May
2021.
Turkey stretches from the Anatolian Peninsula of Southwestern Asia to the
Balkan region of Southeastern Europe.
Turkey is bordered by 8 countries; Bulgaria,
Greece, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq and Syria.
The Black Sea is to the North of Turkey, the
Aegean Sea and the Sea of Marmar to the West and the Mediterranean Sea to the
South.
Due to its strategic location between Europe and Asia, Turkey has historically
been the crossroads between Eastern and Western cultures.
Turkey's population is approximately 81.4 million people and it encompasses a
total area of 780,580 square km. Its capital is Ankara and its largest city is
Istanbul.
