Montreal Service Update 

St Lawrence Coordinated Service (SLCS) to / from Canada & US Midwest
We are pleased to advise that our SLCS Route 1 service (GEX1), operated with our partner, Hapag Lloyd will be rationalised with effect from 30th July 2009 in conjunction with the Canadian Gateway service of the Mediterranean Shipping Company.

The OOCL Belgium will be the last vessel to call in Southampton for inbound and outbound cargo on 1st August, and this vessel will commence the new combined service in Liverpool sailing on the 4th August. The following vessel from Liverpool is expected to be the MSC Jordan due to sail on 11th August.

Service Structure and Highlights

  • Rotation: Montreal – Liverpool1 – Antwerp – Bremerhaven – Le Havre – Liverpool2 - Montreal
  • Vessels: 4 x 2,760TEU vessels (HLC, OOCL and 2 x MSC)
  • Frequency: Weekly
  • Southampton call is replaced with the last import call on 1st August
  • Liverpool double call offering UK customers fast transits for both inbound and outbound cargo
