Customers are advised that with effect 18th July we will apply a surcharge on all reefer carrier haulage in the UK and Ireland. This is to ensure OOCL fully recovers any costs associated with the repositioning of this equipment.
The surcharge will be applied at the following levels over and above prevailing tariff haulage rates for reefers :
- GBP 100 per container for collections or deliveries in the UK
- EUR 100 per container for collections or deliveries in Ireland
The surcharge will not apply for merchant haulage.
Customers are reminded that tariff haulage rates for reefers and these surcharges cater only for inland transport without the provision of a genset. Should a genset be requested in the UK an additional surcharge of GBP 95 will be levied (we are unable to provide gensets in Ireland).
The surcharge on reefer haulage will be applied to all shipments unless explicitly agreed otherwise in the prevailing rate agreement of service contract.
For rating purposes, shipment dates are defined as:-
