Customers are advised of the following new surcharges which are being introduced on 20th April 2010:
- A Foreign-to-Foreign Booking Administration Fee will be applied for bookings taken in the UK or Ireland but for containers loading outside these 2 countries. This covers the additional OOCL administrative costs incurred when co-ordinating these bookings with Operations and / or Customer Service in the country concerned. The surcharge will be GBP 50 per booking made in the UK, and EUR 60 per booking made in Ireland.
- A Telex Release Fee will be incurred when Bills of Lading covering shipment to a foreign destination are surrendered to OOCL in the UK or Ireland, with a request to release cargo at the destination concerned without local presentation of the Original B/L. The surcharge will be GBP 10 per Telex Release handled in the UK, and EUR 15 per Telex Release handled in Ireland.
The changes mentioned above will apply to all bookings and B/Ls unless explicitly agreed otherwise in the prevailing rate agreement or Service Contract.
For rating purposes, the shipment dates are defined as:-
