Balanced IT Strategy
In ensuring near-term performance and long-term competitiveness of the company, OOCL IT maintains a mix of initiatives—balancing those that drive for immediate or near-term performance (Performance) and those that lay the foundation for long-term growth (Health).
Initiatives that aim to achieve long-term growth take an R&D approach with multiple iterations of development and pilot testing and will roll into the Performance category if they succeed. OOCL IT continuously strives to maintain a good balance between the Performance and Health investments and swap people in different teams for the two categories of projects.
