GPSRTT for Vessels

We have been using the GPS technology since early 2008 to automate the capturing of vessels berth arrival (ATA) and departure (ATD) data. Initial results showed that the GPS technology combined with Auto Geofence, a software technique, can serve the purpose well if the GPS tracker works normally.

However, GPS trackers in the commercial off the shelf products bought from the market are not robust and stable enough. In order to solve the problem, ISD decided to develop and build a GPS real time tracker from the ground up for all in-house GPS tracking applications, such as reefer monitoring and vessel and truck tracking.
