OOCL Infrastructure Virtualization and Private Cloud Strategy 

OOCL has been using Server Virtualization for several years, and has implemented critical business applications on virtualized Linux environment since the middle of 2010 to improve platform flexibility, cost efficiency and energy usage. Virtualization leads inexorably to Cloud Computing. Cloud computing, a hot technology trend, is aimed at improving the service-based environment for the delivery of internal applications. Along with implementing server virtualization, OOCL has also started evaluating the benefits of Private Cloud. The concept of server virtualization and its implementation at OOCL, and Cloud Computing was shared with colleagues in a recent meeting.
