Stargaze Camp in Hong Kong 2014

Since 2012, our Hong Kong colleagues from OOCL and OOCL Logistics have participated in the Stargaze Camp for All & the Blind – a large-scale event organized by the Social Welfare Department in partnership with various business corporations and charity organizations. This event aims at bringing people from all walks of life together to raise public awareness of human rights, and to support and respect people with different types of impairments.

This year, 36 colleagues and their families and friends volunteered at the day camp held on October 18 in Sai Kung, New Territories. Our volunteers paired up with 24 mentally challenged people from Hong Chi Association to set up tents in preparation for the overnight camp. They also played games, watched performances, and took part in stargazing together.
