MISC and OOCL announce enhancements in their Coordinated services in Europe
Malaysia International Shipping Corporation (MISC) and Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) today announced the following changes in their Coordinated Service between ports in Europe. These enhancements are a response to customers demand and will create new opportunities whilst maintaining a high level of schedule reliability and quality. The service rotations are designed to provide optimum relay links with services to and from Asia and North America. They are also constructed to meet the growing demand for intra European traffic.
The five MISC/OOCL vessels currently providing the Iberia Scan Express (ISX) and Scan Baltic Express (SBX) Services will be deployed in the following three services:
ISX. MISC's 736 Teu vessels, "Bunga Mas 9" and "Bunga Mas 10" will offer customers a fixed-day weekly sailing between Gothenburg - Rotterdam - Southampton - Bilbao - Leixoes - Lisbon - Bilbao - Southampton - Rotterdam - Larvik - Gothenburg.
SBX1. OOCL's - 860 Teu ice-class vessels, "OOCL Neva and will provide a fixed-day weekly sailing between Rotterdam - Gdansk - Hamina - St Petersburg - Hamburg - Grangemouth - Antwerp - Rotterdam.
SBX2. OOCL' s 600 Teu ice-class vessel, "OOCL Narva" will provide a weekly service between Hamburg - St Petersburg - Gdansk - Hamburg.
The first sailings of the new services are :
ISX - "Bunga Mas 9" departing Larvik Feb 5th
SBX1 - "OOCL Neva" departing Grangemouth Feb 2nd
SBX2 - "OOCL Narva" departing Hamburg Feb 24th
The new rotations will create more coverage of the growing market to and from Russia. New direct calls in Grangemouth (Scotland) and Larvik (Norway) will create additional opportunities in these markets.
