Q1: How can I know my container(s) is/ are loaded on board?
A1: Please register at https://moc.oocl.com/admin/registration/reg_registration_submit_main.jsf, an auto notification will be sent to you via email or SMS for all major event changes in the shipping cycle. For more information, please contact our customer service department.

Q2: How can I track my cargo online directly?
A2:
Please go to http://www.oocl.com/ and simply type in your Container or Bill Of Lading number under “Cargo Tracking” and then click “Go”. The search results will show the port pair of routing, container information, vessel departure and arrival information.

Q3: How can I find the Vessel Particulars for outbound shipments to USA and Canada ( AMS/ ACI data submission)?
A3: Please go to http://www.oocl.com/eng/ourservices/eservices/trackandtrace/ , simply key in the vessel full name and voyage number and then click “Find Vessel”. Afterwards, simply click the vessel code/ name, a pop up screen will indicate the vessel particulars such as Flag/ Lloyds number.

Q4: Are there any shortcut-keys for checking the information in Customer Service Hotline?

Q5: What is the onboard date of my shipment?
A5: Onboard date will be available after vessel departure. Please refer to our Vessel Information Board - Outbound in oocl.com for details.

Q6: When can I have the draft Bills of Lading for checking?
A6: BL draft will be ready 24 hrs after SI submission or vessel departure, whichever is later. You may download BL draft from your MOC account once it is ready. If you do not have an MOC account, BL draft will be sent to you by email. and our customer service representatives will help you through MOC registration process if needed.

Q7: Do you accept late SI on this vessel?
A7: Late SI application is subject to review case by case. Please submit email application to our Customer Service Department with subject in this format: "Late SI Application - SO# xxxxxxxxxx [Vessel-Voyage-Direction / POL]

Q8: If I make an amendment after SI cutoff or Original BL issuance, will any extra charge be incurred?
A8: Any amendment(s) after SI cutoff or Original BL issuance will incur an Amendment Fee(AMF) plus any other extra charges, e.g. Customs penalty if amendment is made after manifest has been submitted to Customs at destination. 

Q9: Can you waive the Amendment Fee?
A9: Amendment Fee cannot be waived if your amendment request was received after SI cutoff or Original BL issuance.

Q10: If two or more booking numbers are to be combined into one BL, which number will be used for master BL?
A10: You may specify one of the booking numbers as the master BL number on SI. Otherwise, the smallest booking number will be used. For example: multiple booking numbers 2500000170, 2500000171, 3528090000; the master BL number will be 2500000170.

Q11: How do I know if SI was sent successfully to OOCL?
A11: You may Register at My OOCL Center (MOC) and set up email subscriptions. Au auto email confirmation will be sent to you within 1 hour after SI has been received by OOCL via MOC system.

Q12: How do I improve processing time of my SI submission and avoid unnecessary Amendment Fee?
A12: You can refer on below :   

  • Provide all mandatory information on SI, e.g. precise commodity name, seal number, House BL information (if advance manifest submission is required), etc;
  • Clearly state all relevant BL parties information (Shipper, Forwarder, Consignee & Notify Party). Ensure all company names and addresses on SI are correct and up-to-date; 
  • Clearly state BL release office as well as payment office; 
  • Make sure the port pairs on SI are correct; 
  • Check whether H.S. code is mandatory information on SI for your destination country.  You can refer below table as reference and this information is subject to change with or without prior notice.

Q13: Under Customs requirement of Japan 24, when will SI amendments be made if amendment request was submitted after SI cut off?
A13: If vessel has not departed, we will make the amendments within 4 working hours after amendment request was received. If vessel has departed, any amendment will be subject to Customs' review case by case.

Q14: When can I make amendments on House BL for Advance Filing Rules (AFR)?
A14: The House BL data for AFR shall be re-submitted ASAP after the revised BL is received.

Q15: How can I know whether Japan 24 Advance Filing Rules has been completed for master BL?
A15: Please sign-in My OOCL Center (MOC) --> Input BL number in "Cargo Tracking" --> "Advanced Manifest" status will be on the top right corner.
  
Q16: When shall I file House BL for NVO shipments?
A16:  You may file the House BL at any time before Customs submission deadline, say 24hrs prior to vessel sailing. You need not to wait for the master BL draft to proceed House BL filing.
