Dear Valued Customer, in order to align all Trades throughout OOCL, as of 01/01/2015 the definition of Shipment Date for rate application purposes for Asia-Europe, Intra-Europe & Australia/New Zealand shipments, will be altered from On Board Date (OBD) to Cargo Receipt Date (CRD – i.e. Gate-in date at 1st port).

In order to enhance our service quality and sailing schedule to meet customer needs, we would like to announce the following adjustment details on the Atlantic Express 1 (AX1) service.
An additional fifth vessel, the MV “Osaka Express”, will be deployed in the AX1 service to support the enhancement as well as to provide an opportunity to extend the AX1 network to include a port call to Charleston.
The new port rotation of the enhanced AX1 service will be the following:

Changes involve higher charge levels and reduced Demurrage outbound freetime for Dry containers while Demurrage outbound freetime for Reefer containers has been increased by one day.

Dear valued customers,
due to the serious delays affecting the barge handling at the deepsea terminals in the port of Rotterdam, barge-operators are now introducing a Congestion Surcharge.
The resulting increase in transportation cost cannot be absorbed by OOCL.
Effective August 10th, 2014 we will therefore apply a Congestion Surcharge for any Carrier’s Haulage inland transportation by barge between Germany and the port of Rotterdam (Inbound and Outbound) of EUR 15 per container.

In view of the on-going high demand for space on Westbound services to Canada, please be advised that we are increasing the Peak Season Surcharge on our Trans-Atlantic Trade with effect from August 1, 2014 as per:
US$225/20’ and US$375/40’/45’ for Westbound dry and reefer cargo on all the routes/loops offered from Europe to Canada and USA via Canada (Montreal gateway).
The new tariff rate will be applied unless otherwise agreed in the prevailing rate agreement.

Further to our previous Customer Advisories issued on China’s 24 hour Advance Manifest Regulation, we would like to update the latest announcement from Shanghai Customs who advised the advance manifest submission will be mandatory for all China import cargoes that are discharged or transshipped at Shanghai port with effect from 3rd June 2014, thereafter Do Not Load (DNL) and Do Not Unload (DNU) messages may be issued at the discretion of Customs.

We refer to our enclosed notification in respect of the intended introduction of a Traffic Congestion Surcharge in Hamburg.
Trucking companies have now announced to suspend the implementation of this charge until further notice.

The freetimes for Reefer cargo and Dangerous Cargo delivered in the port of Rotterdam
and Antwerp will be 3 calendar days before closing.
There will be no change to the standard charges being applied after the expiry of the freetimes.
